Basketball Game Preview: Ashland Grizzlies vs. North Eugene Highlanders

The Ashland Grizzlies will face off against the North Eugene Highlanders at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Ashland had to suffer through a 98-15 loss at the hands of Crater. The matchup marked the Grizzlies' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, North Eugene was just a bucket shy of victory on Wednesday and fell 37-36 to Thurston. The Highlanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ashland has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for North Eugene, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Ashland was dealt a bruising 80-30 loss at the hands of North Eugene in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Ashland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
