Basketball Recap: Nova Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

If South Plantation wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Nova, they should've done a better job of containing Jaelynn Housey. The Nova Titans really took it to the South Plantation Paladins for the full four quarters, racking up a 69-25 win thanks in part to Housey, who posted 16 points along with seven assists and four steals. That's the most assists she has posted since back in November of 2024.

Kyra Paul was another key player, putting up nine points. She has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.

Nova is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.9 points per game. As for South Plantation, they moved to 7-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Nova will challenge American Heritage at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. South Plantation has already played their next contest (against Coral Glades), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
