Volleyball Recap: Syracuse Takes Down Copper Hills in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Syracuse walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the Copper Hills Grizzlies 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Titans have posted since March 13th.

Ian Sprague was the offensive standout of the matchup as he had ten digs and three aces. What's more, he posted two assists, the most he's had over his last six contests. Zane Nanney also deserves some recognition as he had his first kill of the season.

When it comes to explaining why Copper Hills lost on Friday, don't look at Brandon Erickson. Despite the final result, he had nine digs and four assists.

Syracuse's victory bumped their record up to 21-7. As for Copper Hills, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-18.

Syracuse wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Farmington on the 10th. Copper Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
