Basketball Game Preview: Columbiana Clippers vs. Southern Indians

Columbiana is on a ten-game streak of home wins, while Southern is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Columbiana Clippers will host the Southern Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Last Monday, everything came up roses for Columbiana against East Palestine as the team secured a 59-3 victory. Given the Clippers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 168th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 773rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Southern blew past Leetonia, posting a 52-18 win.

Southern is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Columbiana, their victory bumped their record up to 14-0.
