Basketball Game Preview: Springdale Prep Lions vs. Prince George's Christian Academy Blue Flyers

Two dominant guards in Kisean Robinson and Kevin Jackson are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Springdale Prep Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Prince George's Christian Academy Blue Flyers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Tuesday, everything went Springdale Prep's way against Saint John Paul the Great Catholic as Springdale Prep made off with an 81-61 victory. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 24th in Maryland, while the Wolves are ranked 121st in Virginia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Prince George's Christian Academy Blue, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Rosedale Christian Academy 75-48. With the Flyers ahead 38-18 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Springdale Prep better keep an eye on Wisdom Carter. He was instrumental in Prince George's Christian Academy Blue's win, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. Carter has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. Another player making a difference was Sam Caldwell, who posted 15 points.

Prince George's Christian Academy Blue was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rosedale Christian Academy only racked up seven assists.

Springdale Prep's win bumped their record up to 21-6. As for Prince George's Christian Academy Blue, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 16-6 record.
