Baseball Recap: Fairmont's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Fairmont walked away with it. They beat the Camden County Bruins on Tuesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 4-3. For the Golden Tornadoes, this counts as revenge for the 8-2 win the Bruins walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2023.

Kenley Callahan and Nehemiah Chavis did most of the damage at the plate: Callahan went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Chavis went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. That's the most hits Callahan has posted since back in April.

Fairmont's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-12. As for Camden County, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-7.

Fairmont wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 4-1 defeat against Seaforth on the 9th. Camden County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
