Softball Game Preview: Watertown Arrows vs. O'Gorman Knights

The Watertown Arrows will take on the O'Gorman Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Saturday, Watertown didn't have quite enough to beat Stevens and fell 3-2. The Arrows have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Watertown saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emmy Berglund, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, while O'Gorman put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Pierre T.F. Riggs. The Knights were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Governors. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won four contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Kinsley Sheridan, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Vada Ellerbusch, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

O'Gorman's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Watertown, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

Watertown took their win against O'Gorman in their previous matchup back in June of 2024 by a conclusive 12-5 score. Will the Arrows repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
