Basketball Game Preview: North Mason Bulldogs vs. Bainbridge Spartans

The North Mason Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Bainbridge Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

North Mason is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering North Kitsap just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 40-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings.

Meanwhile, Bainbridge had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They breezed by the Buccaneers to the tune of 69-36. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Buccaneers are ranked 251st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bainbridge pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for North Mason, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-6.

North Mason came up short against Bainbridge when the teams last played back in January, falling 48-35. Can North Mason avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
