Softball Game Recap: Mountain View Prep Stars vs. Woodruff Wolverines

Mountain View Prep fell victim to Woodruff and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (2-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-5 back in March.

Mountain View Prep has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Woodruff, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Mountain View Prep will square off against Palmetto at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Stars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Woodruff, they will take on Chapman at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
