Basketball Recap: Joshua Fulks and Lavoris Smith Secure Win for Macon County

Macon County won the last time they faced Central and things went their way on Thursday too. The Macon County Bulldogs enjoyed a cozy 80-61 victory over the Central Hawks.

Macon County was led to victory by Lavoris Smith and Joshua Fulks. Smith went 6-for-15 en route to 20 points and seven rebounds, while Fulks posted 13 points and six boards. That's the most points Smith has posted since back in December of 2024. Desi Mckenzie was another key player, putting up nine points and five boards.

Macon County's win bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-13.

Looking ahead, Macon County will venture away from home to challenge Manchester at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Manchester's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games. Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
