Preview: Teays Valley Vikings vs. Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs
The Teays Valley Vikings will head out on the road to square off against the Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Teays Valley comes in on four and Bloom-Carroll on six.
On Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Teays Valley beat Amanda-Clearcreek 47-43.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Teays Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gabrielle Watkins, who scored 12 points. Kennedy Younkin was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Amanda-Clearcreek typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Bloom-Carroll proved too difficult a challenge. They secured a 51-45 W over the Aces.
Bloom-Carroll relied on the efforts of Tessa Brooks, who scored 19 points, and Emily Bratton, who scored 18 points along with six assists and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brooks has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Marissa Wilkinson, who scored six points.
Teays Valley is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Bloom-Carroll, they pushed their record up to 15-4 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Teays Valley came up short against Bloom-Carroll in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 46-37. Can Teays Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
