New Hartford hasn't had much luck against Proctor recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Spartans will head out to face off against the Raiders at 4:30 p.m. The last four games New Hartford has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
New Hartford took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over Central Square.
Proctor came out on top against Oneida on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run third inning. The Raiders blew past the Express 20-2. Considering the Raiders have won six matchups by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
JAADIEL ROMERO made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, RADHAMES EMANIEL was a standout: he went 4-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Michael OLIVADOTI, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Proctor is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for New Hartford, they pushed their record up to 5-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.
New Hartford came out on top in a nail-biter against Proctor when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. Do the Spartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
