Basketball Recap: J.R. Tucker Comes Up Short

J.R. Tucker lost against Freeman back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The J.R. Tucker Tigers lost 40-19 to the Freeman Mavericks.

Leading Freeman to victory were Addie Morton and Jane Miller. Morton posted 22 points, while Miller scored ten points. Morton's evening made it ten games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

J.R. Tucker's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Freeman, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the J.R. Tucker Tigers face off against the Glen Allen Jaguars at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Glen Allen will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something J.R. Tucker surely won't give up without a fight. Freeman has already played their next matchup (against John Marshall), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
