Basketball Recap: Edison Takes a Loss

Edison lost against North Miami Beach back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Edison Red Raiders were outmatched by the North Miami Beach Chargers and fell 74-17. The Red Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Miami Beach's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Laila Henderson, who went 8 for 12 on her way to 23 points and seven rebounds. That's the most points Henderson has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Serena Volcy, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists.

Edison's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for North Miami Beach, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edison will face off against Jackson at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Miami Beach, they will take on American at 5:00 p.m. on January 22nd.
