Basketball Recap: Chickasaw Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Chickasaw is still winless after their game against Satsuma on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-44 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gators. If the Chieftains were looking for revenge after losing 38-33 to the Gators when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Chickasaw lost, don't look at Kendall Sims. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds. With that strong performance, Sims is now averaging an impressive 16 points per game. Another player making a difference was Caleb Haywood, who posted seven points.

Chickasaw's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Satsuma, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4.

Looking ahead, Chickasaw will be home for the holidays to greet Washington County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Satsuma, they will head out to take on McIntosh at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
