Jackson South Side waltzed into their game on Tuesday with 13 straight wins... but they left with 14. They claimed a resounding 71-17 win over the Jackson North Side Indians. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-6.

Jackson South Side's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaidynn Askins led the charge by putting up ten points in addition to six assists and six steals. Those six assists gave Askins a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikayla Newble, who went 7 for 12 on her way to 18 points and seven rebounds.

Jackson South Side smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 14 consecutive contests.

Jackson South Side pushed their record up to 20-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.8 points per game.
