Baseball Recap: Blue Ridge Takes a Loss

Blue Ridge made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Daniel, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Fighting Tigers fell just short of the Lions by a score of 2-0 on Monday. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Fighting Tigers were not able to get on the board.

Blue Ridge now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Daniel, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

Blue Ridge will challenge Travelers Rest at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Devildogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.74 runs per game on average), something the Fighting Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Daniel, they will square off against Laurens at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
