Basketball Recap: Six Straight Home Wins for Taholah

There's no place like home for Taholah, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They strolled past the Oakville Acorns with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 62-48. For the Chitwhins, this counts as revenge for the 52-49 win the Acorns walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Taholah pushed their record up to 6-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Oakville, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Taholah won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Auburn Adventist at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Auburn Adventist will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Taholah surely won't give up without a fight. As for Oakville, they will challenge Washington School for the Deaf at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
