Jay won the last time they faced Southside and things went their way on Friday too. The Jay Mustangs blew past the Southside Cardinals 42-19. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 games by 20 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Ny'Ashia Barnes, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 12 points along with five boards and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Annalicia Rosa, who posted seven points and five rebounds.

Jay has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.2 points per game. As for Southside, their loss dropped their record down to 24-7.

Coincidentally, Jay and Southside will both be playing South San Antonio the next time they take the court. Jay will host South San Antonio at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Southside will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th.
