Softball Recap: Everglades City Takes a Loss

Everglades City and Neumann squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Everglades City had to settle for second. They came up short against the Celtics, falling 17-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Gators in their meetings with the Celtics: they've now lost four in a row.

Everglades City's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Neumann, their win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-4.

Everglades City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Neumann, they will square off against Seacrest Country Day at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Stingrays will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Celtics surely won't give up without a fight.
