Football Recap: Big Walnut Extends Winning Streak to 11

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Big Walnut had no problem doing just that on Friday. They claimed a resounding 35-0 victory over the Canal Winchester Indians. Considering the Golden Eagles have won ten matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Big Walnut's 11th in a row) raised their record to 11-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.8 points on average over those games. As for Canal Winchester, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-2.

Coming up, Big Walnut will challenge Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Nolan Buirley and Savior Owens. Canal Winchester does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
