Softball Recap: East Prairie Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last nine games, East Prairie finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They came up short against the Malden Green Wave, falling 16-2. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

East Prairie's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-3. As for Malden, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

East Prairie wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 11-3 victory against Portageville on the 12th. As for Malden, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 18-10 defeat against Risco on the 12th.
