Basketball Recap: Oceanside Collegiate Academy Takes Down Ranked James Island

On Thursday, Oceanside Collegiate Academy faced James Island in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Oceanside Collegiate Academy Landsharks took down the James Island Trojans 54-39. The Landsharks pushed the score to 48-25 by the end of the third, a deficit the Trojans cut but never quite recovered from.

James Island's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gavin Ward, who posted 13 points. Parker Renault was another key player, putting up 12 points and eight rebounds.
