Gibbs has gone a perfect 10-0 against Clinton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dragons at 6:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Gibbs' pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They blew past Southeastern 14-0. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Madilynn Rutherford was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Shelby Williams, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.

Gibbs always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southeastern only posted an OBP of .222.

Meanwhile, Clinton earned an 11-7 victory over Union County on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won four in a row.

Gibbs has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Clinton, their win bumped their record up to 18-6-1.

Gibbs was able to grind out a solid victory over Clinton when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 7-4. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dragons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
