Basketball Recap: Barrington Christian Academy Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Barrington Christian Academy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt a 49-7 defeat at the hands of the Rocky Hill Country Day Mariners on Wednesday. Barrington Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 24-3.

Lily Sokol was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 18 boards for Rocky Hill Country Day. The dominant performance also gave Sokol a new career-high in blocks (three). Izabella Macari was another key player, putting up eight points along with 11 rebounds and five blocks.

The victory got Rocky Hill Country Day back to even at 2-2.

Barrington Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Rocky Hill Country Day and Brimmer & May will compete for holiday cheer at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
