Baseball Recap: Regis Takes a Loss

Regis fell victim to Iona Prep and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Gaels, falling 17-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 6-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Regis now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Iona Prep, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-4-1.

Looking ahead, Regis is taking a road trip to take on Salesian at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.79 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Iona Prep, they will square off against Cardinal Spellman at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
