Softball Recap: Gallatin Green Wave vs. Mount Juliet Golden Bears
Gallatin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Mount Juliet Golden Bears, falling 21-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-3 back in March.
Gallatin saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Palmer, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Morgan Baskerville was another, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
Gallatin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Mount Juliet, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6-1 record this season.
Gallatin will welcome Hendersonville at 4:30 a.m. on Thursday. As for Mount Juliet, they will challenge Christian Academy of Knoxville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
