Basketball Recap: Ennis Takes a Loss

Ennis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 54-24 defeat at the hands of the Crandall Pirates. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1019th, while the Pirates are ranked 330th).

When it comes to explaining why Ennis lost, don't look at Krystiana Blanchard. Despite the final result, she posted 14 points.

Ennis' loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Crandall, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season.

Ennis wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 64-27 defeat against Midlothian on the 17th. As for Crandall, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-41 victory against Terrell on the 17th.
