Basketball Game Preview: Nitro Wildcats vs. St. Agnes Academy Tigers

Having just played yesterday, the Nitro Wildcats will jump right back in to play the St. Agnes Academy Tigers at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Nitro is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

Nitro saw some tournament action on Friday. They walked away with a 54-44 victory over Oceanside Collegiate Academy.

Natalie Smith continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8 of 13 on her way to 24 points and seven rebounds. The match was her eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaycee Sigmon, who posted eight points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, St. Agnes Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Mars by a score of 40-38. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 355th in Texas, while the Fightin' Planets are ranked 41st in Pennsylvania).

St. Agnes Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Nitro, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
