The timing is sure in Fayette Academy's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Tipton-Rosemark Academy has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

On Monday, Fayette Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Tipton-Rosemark Academy and fell 5-4.

Hayden Fly put in work while hitting and pitching. He struck out ten batters over 5.2 innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Fly wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Harris Armour, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Parker Moss also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Fayette Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Tipton-Rosemark Academy, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-9.
