Football Game Preview: Reese Rockets vs. Michigan Lutheran Seminary Cardinals

Reese hasn't had much luck against Michigan Lutheran Seminary recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rockets will welcome the Cardinals at 7:00 p.m.

On Friday, Reese lost to Harbor Beach on the road by a 33-14 margin. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 266th, while the Pirates are ranked 56th).

Meanwhile, despite more penalty yards than offensive yards (30 to -1), Michigan Lutheran Seminary somehow pulled a rabbit out of their hat on Friday. They really took it to Hemlock for the full four quarters, racking up a 57-0 victory. Considering the Cardinals have won four contests by more than 31 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Reese better keep an eye on Andrew Miller. He was instrumental in Michigan Lutheran Seminary's win, rushing for 162 yards and a pair of scores. Miller also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Cardinals are 3-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise. Brady Teske was another key player, rushing for 84 yards and two TDs.

Reese's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Michigan Lutheran Seminary, they now also have a winning record of 4-3.
