Recap: Au Gres-Sims Wolverines vs. Fairview Eagles

The Au Gres-Sims Wolverines entered their tilt with the Fairview Eagles with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Au Gres-Sims walked away with a 43-31 win over the Eagles on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Au Gres-Sims also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Au Gres-Sims was led to victory by Sophie Fox and Analeis Ming. Fox dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds, while Ming scored 19 points along with five steals. Ming is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Lillie Maser was another key contributor, scoring four points along with 11 rebounds.

Au Gres-Sims is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Fairview, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Au Gres-Sims will face off against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hillman is on a three-game streak of home wins, the Wolverines a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Fairview's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on February 1st. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Michigan (Hale is ranked 554th, while the Eagles are ranked 541st).
