Soccer Recap: Wagner Comes Up Short

Wagner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 9-1 to the Alamo Heights Mules. While losing is never fun, the Thunderbirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 583rd, while the Mules are ranked 124th).

Wagner's goal came courtesy of Juany Corpus, which was the first she's scored this season.

Wagner's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13-2. As for Alamo Heights, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.

Coming up, Wagner will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Boerne at 7:15 p.m. As for Alamo Heights, they are taking a road trip to challenge Tivy at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
