Baseball Recap: Mt. Gilead Indians vs. Northmor Golden Knights

After flying high against Crestline on Thursday, Mt. Gilead came back down to earth. The Indians came up short against the Northmor Golden Knights on Friday, falling 16-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on Monday.

Cameron Vickers was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. That stolen base was his first of the season.

Mt. Gilead's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Northmor, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Mt. Gilead will take on Northridge at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Indians are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Northmor, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Danville at 5:15 p.m.
