Kit Carson's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wiley Panthers, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted since August 23rd.

Kit Carson had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 23-25, 25-18, 25-12, 15-12.

Kit Carson's victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 6-12. As for Wiley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Kit Carson will head out on the road to square off against La Veta at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wiley, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Kim/Branson at 5:00 p.m.
