Soccer Recap: Evergreen Valley Comes Up Short

Evergreen Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the San Jose Bulldogs. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2020.

Evergreen Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9-1. As for San Jose, the victory snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 2-10 record.

Evergreen Valley will challenge Independence at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Independence's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. San Jose has already played their next matchup (against Yerba Buena), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
