Football Recap: Taylorsville Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Taylorsville extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Friday, dropping them down to 0-2. They fell 26-13 to the Murray Spartans. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

As for Murray, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 32.5 points this season.

Leading Murray to victory were McKade Eardley and Phil Holland. Eardley rushed for 134 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, while Holland threw for 161 yards and one touchdown. Eardley showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 60 yards.

Coming up, Taylorsville will head out to take on Herriman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Murray, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Hurricane at 7:00 p.m.
