Softball Recap: North Miami Triumphs

North Miami was handed a ten-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Maconaquah Braves 5-3. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Braves recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Porscha Pickett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits.

At the plate, Zoey Sparks and Khloe Hovermale did most of the damage at the plate: Sparks went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI, while Hovermale went 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Hovermale a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Layla Hampton, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

North Miami's record now sits at 7-10. As for Maconaquah, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

North Miami does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Maconaquah has already played their next matchup (against Eastbrook), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
