Basketball Game Preview: Abington Galloping Ghosts vs. Wissahickon Trojans

The Abington Galloping Ghosts and the Wissahickon Trojans will compete for holiday cheer at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Wissahickon is facing Abington at the wrong time: Abington suffered their first home loss of the season on Tuesday and they're likely out for redemption. They lost 70-48 to the Cardinals. The game marked the Galloping Ghosts' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Wissahickon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 52-44 to Plymouth Whitemarsh. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 199th, while the Colonials are ranked 17th).

Wissahickon now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Abington, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Abington was able to grind out a solid win over Wissahickon in their previous meeting back in February, winning 76-69. Does Abington have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wissahickon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
