Machias extended their winning streak to 12 on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 12-0 in the process. They put the hurt on the Jonesport-Beals Royals with a sharp 12-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

As for Jonesport-Beals, their record now sits at 8-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss they have suffered since April 25th.

For Jonesport-Beals' part, Aspen Alley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and eight unearned) runs on 13 hits and racked up ten Ks. Alley has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Makayla Merchant was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Melody Gray was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
