Volleyball Recap: North Moore Comes Up Short

After flying high against Jordan-Matthews on Tuesday, North Moore came back down to earth. The Mustangs came up short against the Uwharrie Charter Academy Eagles on Thursday, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

North Moore was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-10, 25-22.

North Moore's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Uwharrie Charter Academy, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-3.

North Moore and Uwharrie Charter Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Mustangs will square off against Northwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (193 vs. 417). Meanwhile, Uwharrie Charter Academy (ranked 27th) will meet Southern Alamance (ranked 240th) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
