Basketball Recap: Island Coast's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Island Coast had lost three straight headed into Tuesday's contest, but Jose Bido didn't let it get to four. The Island Coast Gators came out on top against the Mariner Tritons by a score of 71-58 on Tuesday thanks in part to Bido, who went 11 of 13 en route to 23 points and five steals. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was SirJoshua Anderson, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 14 points and three steals. What's more, he also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in November of 2024.

Island Coast's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-10. As for Mariner, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-19.

Island Coast didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 72-41 victory against North Fort Myers on the 24th. Mariner has also already played their next contest, a 73-31 defeat against Gulf Coast on the 22nd.
