Softball Preview: Raceland Rams vs. Greenup County Musketeers
The Raceland Rams will take on the Greenup County Musketeers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Raceland barely beat Russell the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rams' pitcher stepped up to hand the Red Devils an 11-0 shutout on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Rams, who have now won three contests in a row.
Carly Fannin was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Allie Mcmackin, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.
Raceland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .607. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Russell only posted an OBP of .167.

Raceland pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Greenup County, their win bumped their record up to 13-1.
