Volleyball Recap: Lakeland's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lakeland extended their winning streak to three on Saturday, bumping them up to 10-9. Everything went their way against the Sandpoint Bulldogs as they made off with a 3-0 win. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Lakeland can attribute much of their success to Chloe Neff, who had 17 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Neff has posted over her last nine matchups.

As for Sandpoint, they dropped their record down to 5-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Despite the loss, Sandpoint saw an underclassman step up: freshman Averi Mire had 24 assists and four digs. Mire has been hot, having posted 12 or more assists the last seven times she's played.

Lakeland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Lewiston on the 21st. As for Sandpoint, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Moscow on the 21st.
