Basketball Game Preview: West Carter Comets vs. Lewis County Lions

The West Carter Comets will head out to square off against the Lewis County Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. West Carter has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since January 2.

Last Saturday, West Carter came up short against Berea and fell 67-60.

Meanwhile, Lewis County also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Lawrence County by a score of 70-61. The Lions have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

West Carter's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Lewis County, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.

West Carter came up short against Lewis County in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 67-59. Can West Carter avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
