Softball Game Preview: Liberty Bell Mountain Lions vs. Okanogan Bulldogs

Liberty Bell hasn't had much luck against Okanogan recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Mountain Lions will take on the Bulldogs at 10:00 a.m. Liberty Bell knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Okanogan likes a good challenge.

Liberty Bell is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Cascade on Wednesday, sneaking past 24-22.

Meanwhile, Okanogan can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. Everything went their way against Lake Roosevelt as they made off with a 20-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won five contests by 11 runs or more so far this season.

Liberty Bell's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-9. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.0 runs over those games. As for Okanogan, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.

Liberty Bell suffered a grim 24-11 defeat to Okanogan in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Mountain Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
