Baseball Recap: Model's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Model came out on top against Burgin on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Patriots took their matchup against the Bulldogs 7-3. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Cal Hall, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Chace Lowery also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Model's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-9. As for Burgin, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Coming up, Model will face off against Owsley County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Burgin, they will square off against Mercer County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Titans will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
