Grossmont waltzed into their match on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against the West Hills Wolf Pack as they made off with a 3-0 win. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

One reason for the win was Grossmont's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-19, 25-18.

Grossmont's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacqueline Villalobos, who had four aces and three digs. That's the most aces Villalobos has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Kenis, who had four digs and four aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Grossmont was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Grossmont's win bumped their record up to 17-9. As for West Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-19.
