Football Game Preview: Seminole Ridge Hawks vs. Spanish River Sharks

The Seminole Ridge Hawks will take on the Spanish River Sharks at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.

On Friday, Seminole Ridge ended up a good deal behind Benjamin and lost 21-7.

Meanwhile, Spanish River got themselves on the board against Coral Glades last Friday, but Coral Glades never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Jaguars with a sharp 21-0 victory. Considering the Sharks have won three contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Spanish River's win came from a few key players Seminole Ridge will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jacorrion McCrary, who rushed for 133 yards on only 15 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Elder, who picked up 37 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Spanish River's run defense was locked in: Coral Glades could only muster 3.1 yards per carry. The team can thank Roger Alfernar for the heroic effort on defense: he. Spanish River didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.3.

Spanish River's defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. Leading the way was Josh Raymond with two. Alfernar was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making nine total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Seminole Ridge dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Spanish River, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
