Basketball Recap: Sherman Indian Falls to Santa Rosa Academy in First Game of Season

Sherman Indian kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 59-33 to the Santa Rosa Academy Rangers. The Braves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rangers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2019.

Mycah Mason had a dynamite game For Santa Rosa Academy., putting up 19 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Cory Moore, who posted 11 points and seven steals.

Santa Rosa Academy has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sherman Indian will face off against Woodcrest Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Santa Rosa Academy, they will challenge Indio at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
